About me


Allison Cheng is a soprano vocalist pursuing a Master’s degree in Choral Music at the University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from La Sierra University where she studied conducting with Dr. Lesley Leighton and Dr. Ariel Quintana. In 2015-2016 she spent time working in the Alvord School District from grades 5th through 12th. In the spring of 2015 she worked with 5th grade students introducing music into the Alvord School District for the first time in fifteen years. She also worked with students at Villegas Middle School and Hillcrest High, and received the Mark Ferguson Spirit of Service Award for her efforts specifically working with the Hillcrest Show Choir. In 2016 Allison soloed with Los Robles Master Chorale and the LA Philharmonic in the Green Umbrella Concert conducted by John Adams. Currently she is working at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood as the director of Carol Choir, Heaven Bound Singers, and Teen Bells; as well as the assistant conductor to the Los Robles Master Chorale. Recently, she was accepted into the Thornton Board of Councilor Mentoring Program and paired with choral conductor Grant Gershon of the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
